Before scheduling a hair and makeup trial, our talented hair stylists want to get an idea of what styles you love most! Sending over a few photos of what you like (and don’t) is incredibly helpful. During a hair trial, our stylists listen and work with you to come up with a wedding hairstyle that fits you perfectly.

Before a hair trial, if a bride feels they want a lot of volume, a larger bun, or their hair is on the thinner side, we often suggest purchasing donut hair buns. These inexpensive foam donuts can even be cut to size and are perfect for secretly adding volume to the hair. This is a great option for those who want an upstyle.

Whether you want half up half down or an upstyle, Eye For Beauty CT often suggests getting temporary hair extensions referred to as clip in extensions. These can be placed in the hair the day of the wedding. If you need help with color matching, Sally Beauty has human hair extensions and can do it in-store. If you want to purchase online, we suggest the Barely Xtensions. Make sure the clip in extensions are made of real hair so hot tools can be used.

While Eye For Beauty CT has a few hair pieces to try on to get an idea of what brides might like the day of, if you have your hair piece and/or veil it’s a good idea to bring it to your trial. The hairstylist will show you (and your maid of honor) the day of the wedding how to put it in and remove without messing up your wedding hair. A few extra bobby pins will be given to the bride.
